WORDS FROM THE MIDDLE SCHOOL DIRECTOR

FINAL EXAMINATIONS
The 8th grade Study Session Fiesta
Next week Middle School students will be taking their final exams completing a long year of study. The exams count for 10% of the semester grade so they are very important in the final average. Being prepared in mind and body is critical.

All of our classes have begun a systematic walk through of the semester’s work. Studying a unit from each of five courses means that the homework requirement each evening is most likely 2+ hours of study.  It is important that students follow this gradual preparation schedule of review as “cramming” seldom produces satisfactory results.

Being prepared physically on the day of the exam is almost important as being prepared mentally. Keeping a routine schedule with a good night’s sleep and proper diet sets your child up for success.

ARRIVE TO SCHOOL ON TIME EACH DAY.  Students should be arriving at 8:00 so that they can get books unloaded and settled in for the day. Arriving later than 8:00 creates a stress for your child. Please be early next week.
