We have explored several different atomic models this week. We ended the week with  lab stations. This is where we move from one station to another and perform what is written on the station card. For example, a student would see a card that asks them to write their view/opinions on the different founders of the atomic model or to research other subatomic particles. We are now moving forward into our study of the elements and the periodic table. There will be a quiz on Friday, January 27th that covers Section 2, pages 80-85.
Our current event presentations will run every Friday from now until February 10th. The students have each signed up for a Friday and the schedule is posted in the lab. They each have a handout with detailed instructions that they should follow as they prepare the presentation. I have also asked them to practice at home, so please ask your child to share with you.
I encourage students to check Google Classroom on a daily basis. I frequently add helpful websites and other information that they might find interesting along with any notes or assignments due for class.
