6th Earth Science with Mrs. Blake
The sixth graders are learning about the differences between
compounds and mixtures. They have been introduced to the various types
of bonds which form compounds, especially covalent and ionic bonds. Next week they will study chemical formulas
and also learn about the properties of matter.
There will be a quiz next week on chemical formulas.
6th Spanish with Ms. Dixon
Next week we will have a test on Tuesday, October 7th
covering adjectives, present-tense conjugation & me gusta + no me gusta
phrases. Monday will be an open-session review, so come prepared with

Don’t forget- City-State projects are due Monday morning! Students should bring their projects to my classroom first thing in the morning, so we can securely store their dioramas until presentation time. Over the course of the week, each student will give a brief 5-7 minute presentation of their city-state, including the construction process, to their peers. The accompanying brochure will be due to Mrs. Royal on Tuesday, 7 October, as students were given an extra day in computer class to complete the assignment. I am so excited to see the hard work your students have put forth on this project!
